She started a Youth centre when she was 16, after she moved. She moved because her father; Michael obtained a parish up in Oadby, Leicestershire. She then moved to Exeter in Devon. Her mother suffered from Post-Natal depression. She's single, at the moment, but says that she doesn't see the need to be with someone because she has love from family, friends and so forth. She has been in seven adverts (that I know of). She loves animals. She has stripped on stage twice. ;) Amanda wants to be a Farmers-Wife when she retires. (Bless!) If she wasn't an actress she would have a job in animal care (something along the animal line). Her most inspirational book is Tess of the D'Urbervilles. She started reading it at the age of 13. She doesn't like flying. Despite of that she has been to Morocco. You are most likely to see her perform in The Jerwood Theatre (The Royal Court theatre) or The Almeida Theatre - Her two favourite theatres. Her favourite playwrite is 'The Ugly One' written by Marius von Mayenburg. (this is not to date). Her favourite co-star is Michael Gould . Her favourite directors are Ramin Gray and Richard Wilson . She was nominated for Outstanding Newcomer in 2003 at the London Evening Standard Theatre Awards for her performance in Eastward Ho! at the Gielgud Theatre, London. Her character 'Dr. May Wright' in EastEnders was nominated for 'Best Bitch' awards in 2007 on the Soap Awards, but unfortunately was beaten by 'Stella Crawford' played by Sophie Thompson. She joined the R.S.C (Royal Shakespeare Company) in 2001. She lives in a plush flat. Her flat consists of very light colours, e.g, whites, silvers etc. She gets shy, self-conscious, insecure and nervous. She played a flower in an Oscar Wilde play when she was 6. At first she became an actress to 'get away from herself' and be someone else, but realised it brought her closer to herself. She enjoys the creativity and the protective coat of playing someone else. She was one of four children. She walks Ron 2 times a day. She doesn't currently have any children. She once thought about freezing her eggs in case she ever changed her mind about having children, but decided against it in the end. She can't and doesn't do auditions. She's scared of negative reactions from people about ex-character May, but of course she doesn't have any, because she's lovely. She has shopped in Partridge's, Zara and Joseph's before now. She played 'Charity' in 'Sweet Charity' when she was 16 at her school. She knows a couple of women with IVF, and asked them about it to help her understand for the role as Dr. May Wright. She considers herself scruffy and unflawless. (Which is not true). She loves Cornwall. She is friends with Catherine Tate, Emma Kenedy, Sali Hughes and more. Her accent is Neutral, gravelly and is said to be 'Maternal'. She found the Vick's First Defence advert...'Fun to do'. :roll: She doesn't smoke (this isn't accurate), but has done in the past! She led the line of people with greyhounds at the Walthamstow Greyhound Racing track. She gets called Mandy by relatives. She attended the Marks and Spencers Winter and Autumn Collection on 24th May 2007 alongside her friend Catherine Tate. She doesn't usually go to awards/debut shows. Her agent is Lou Coulson.
