Lovin' the site by the way!

Down to business!

1) A new (Darker and more visible) colour scheme.
2) A new posts section (May require some coding)
3) An actual domain name, rather than ******.**.****.com
4) Less stickied notes. They're useful, but don't go crazy, keep it to information about separate forums, not just randomness
5) Don't loose interest! If you do, the site will go to hell and never return.
6) Publicise it as much as you can, put links to it EVERYWHERE (MSN, YouTube accounts etc..)
7) Make the ADF part of the top banner a different colour so it's more visible.
8) Have easier links back to the main forum index
9) Get the chat running
10) Have less complicated names for things like The Lounge

Yeh, I hope some of this is taken into consideration Smile

Here's my reply to those requests/suggestions:

1) I would but the current one is fine.
2) You'll have to figure that one out for me.
3) I can't get a proper one til I'm 16 and by that time I'll have a proper website anyways.
4) Stickies are completely fine so.....yeh.
5) I NEVER lose interest in the forum.
6) This forum has been publicised practicly everywhere, e.g. Wikipedia, YouTube, Bebo, FaceBook and so forth.
7) I have just changed the forum logo for you and others - It's ALOT clearer now.
8) What do you mean?
9) Lol, I do don't I, give me an example.
10) They arn't complicated it's just obvious by the text under the subtitle of what it is - to make you understand.

By chat I think be means that on some forums you can do a live chat - like in chat room.

Actually a chat room is just not what this forum needs.

a) i don't think it is possible to have a chat room on a forum.

b) people get offended in chat rooms if the chat room is available for everyone. Therefore people go away and don't come on the forum. Don't get me wrong this forum is a big success but you know, ppl come to express their views.

c) if ppl want to have a chat they can pm them its just that simple sure its not direct but its not snail mail for goodness sake. Also if you want to make it more direct pm them and give them your msn addy.

d) if you want to chat to somebody you shouldn't come here to do it THAT IS WHAT MSN YAHOO FACEBOOK BEBO ETC IS FOR!

e) This forum is for amanda and likewise ppl should talk about amanda that is what this forum is for to express their views on Amanda Drew we also have a tequila shot to talk about other things besides amanda and may i point out anyone can bring a random topic to talk about. So why do we need a chat room again?

f) If the Admistrator wanted to put a chat room in she would have by now and if she did it would take up a lot of her valuable time.

Cos we can is not a suitable answer James and though it would be good to have one. We just don't need it.

I thought I'd reply to this now, after a long time of thinking, and I mean long.

Sorry James but I think the idea of having a chat room on a forum totally makes it less like a forum.

It would take a while, it would cost money and quite frankly I'm not sure anyone would use it. Mostly all of the members have msn and are happy to just use that.

I think private messaging is fine.

If this forum grows up to more than a 100 members (whenever that day may be lol!)
then I might think more into the chat room side of the forum and see whether it's viable first. I might have to do a poll beforehand to see if it is actually what most people want.
